Need help.. which one do you prefer?

I painted a bright dinghy on a dark lake the other night..

A digital painting, that is.

The boat and the water I was pleased with, but I couldn’t seem to settle on a background I felt sure was the right one.

So I made quite a few, as you can se here:

The problem now is that I have to choose just one of them to feature on this site.

But which one?!

Please help med decide by giving me your favourite πŸ™‚

  1. The only one I don’t like is the one with the diagonal stripes. Otherwise, I think they are all great. Maybe give us a little more context. The sleek one could be an album cover, the one with the stark white background reminds me of an escape movie, the last one conveys that something has just come to pass.

    1. Thank you for your feedback, Laureen! πŸ™‚ I was a bit unsure about the diagonal stripes as well, so I’m glad to get your view on it πŸ™‚ I can’t really give much context, because there was basically no other thought behind this other than me wanting to draw/paint a boat. The rest just happened. But it’s so fun to read what you get out of them. I never thought about them beeing either album or movie covers πŸ™‚ I think my favourite are one of the two with a plain, dark horizon, but I just can’t make a decision πŸ™‚

  2. I like either the second one, or the fourth (last) one! I agree that the second one looks almost like a poster or cover, and the last one has some nice eerie dark tone to it. Again, it depends on the context of what’s you’re doing for!
