A farm in a field

I really want to improve in my watercolour painting, but lately it’s been such a struggle.

Everything I make at the moment just looks worse than the stuff I’ve made earlier, and the colours look a lot less natural.

I guess it has something to do with me using tutorial videos earlier, and now trying to break away from them.

Anyway, I guess the only answer is to keep at it, so this is a painting of a farm in a field.

It’s not great, but it’s not that bad either.

It’s ok, and a step on the way in making my watercolouring a bit better.

  1. Please don’t put yourself down. The painting really did come out well. Usually, the struggle with watercolors is overpainting and ending up with muddy colors. That didn’t happen to you, so be proud of that.

    1. Thank you, Laureen! That’s true. The colours are not that bad πŸ™‚ I do put my work down quite a bit, but it never kills my motivation to keep on going. I just expect every painting to end up a lot better than they do… πŸ˜‰
