“Hold The Line” by Toto.
That’s the song going on repeat in my head when drawing buildings.
Basically because I’ve learned that sticking to one line for each structure makes it look the way I want it to.
Then there’s hatching and cross hatching to add shadows and depth.
So, even though the lines turned out quite squiggly, I’m pleased with how this suburban house ended up (with a little stroke of watercolour):

If you want to see more of my sketches you can do so in my digital sketchbook
Considering the times, perhaps we need that added color โบ๏ธ๐พ๐๐พ
That’s definitely a good point ๐
Interesting how watercolors added a warmth of residence while the 1st sketch suggest a vacancy๐พ๐๐พ
I was considering leaving it as a pen sketch, but I’m glad I added some colour in the end โบ
There is a yellow envelope on the left side of the roof! The postman has left without it. oh dear!๐
Haha. I know! It’s supposed to be a heat pump (if that’s the right word), but it ended up looking like a envelope ๐๐
