Here is another piece for my new series of marine inspired digital paintings:
The style ended up a bit tighter than in my previous efforts, which I’m not really sure how I feel about.
What I like, though, is the whole look of the fishing boat.
Especially the bow, which I think ended up quite characteristic.
Anyway, it was really fun painting it, and I hope you like it as well 🙂
I think it looks great. There is something slightly Japanese about its stark silhouette against that gorgeous colour.
And the video is fascinating – to see your workflow and your thought processes.
Thank you so much! 🙂 There have been others who’ve mentioned the Japanese connection as well, which is fun. I’ve been looking at a few tutorials by Shibasaki, but other than that I haven’t had much interaction with Japanese art (also, The Great Wave off Kanagawa is on my Kindle cover, but that’s hardly very original:)). But maybe I’ve been influenced more than I’ve thought 🙂
And I’m so glad you enjoyed the video, by the way. I think it’s fun to look back at the process myself, but it’s even better when others take an interest in it 🙂
