This is a painting I ended up very pleased with.
The main reason for it is the impression of lightning bolts coming down from the sky.
This impression of thunder was made using a lump of damp kitchen paper, just dabbing it lightly on the half dried paint.
I then let it dry completely, before using a small liner brush with indigo paint to add the pine trees.
I then did a wash of blue and green to make up the field, before adding a few extra strokes of dark blue paint for the shadows.
The fence posts are added using gouache.
I hope you like it, and that you’re having a good day!
