I painted these pieces last night, when I was watching TV.
The one filled with (digital) paint was the original version.
But I got this hunch that it just might look pretty cool with a layer of colour removed.
That would put the line work more in focus, and give it an interesting touch.

I’m a bit unsure about which one I like best, but I think I’m leaning towards the second version with less paint.
But what do you think? 🙂

The second one without the colored background reminds me so much of animation storyboards. Love the style of both 😊

I like the effect of the second one but I think it looks less like the boat is on water and more like it’s stranded in snow or in a field, maybe that’s because of the direction of the lines in relation to the boat. Either way, I love this style you’ve developed and I’m always amazed at how a little colour can totally change a picture!

I think it’s a combination of the lines and the telegraph poles that make it look like a field to me, I live in Scotland so I’m not used to seeing telegraph poles in the sea but they are all over the ploughed fields!
I would love to visit Scotland again. We went there on a school trip when I was 13, but haven’t gotten around for a second visit yet. It’s a beautiful country, though. Both when it comes to the nature and the people 🙂
