Walking in Steep Mountains – A Second Attempt

This is actually a second attempt of the painting I published in my last post.

I liked the colours and the composition in the first painting.

But I felt that it lacked some sort of mood.

It just looked kind of mechanic, in a weird way.

So I wanted to paint the same scenery.

But this time during sunset.

And I wanted the colours to be warmer.

So I had a go, and this is what came out of it:

I definitely like this one better.

It just brings a feeling of summer.

Of late evenings outside.

Of those rustling trees and the shrieks and hoots of birds.

Here they are together, so you can judge by yourself.

Anyway, I hope you like it, and that you’re having a good day!

  1. The way the colours blend together in a soft downward motion in the second one is very pleasing. Maybe it’s a mountain pasture (sæter?) for sheep. I’m pretty sure the gound in the first one is filled with minerals. I like them both 🙂

    1. Yes, maybe it is 🙂 I liked the second one a lot better than the first one, even though I did not dislike the first one… I see what you mean about the minerals, though, now that you mention it 🙂

I would love it if you left me a few words
