Finished Series – All About the Palette Knife

This is my latest watercolour series, finished and showed off all together.

I’ve done the washes using a brush, but everything else is done using a palette knife.

I think the rough features of the palette knife really appeals to me.

It suits the look of that raw nature along the coast.

It just feels right when using it.

So I’ll keep looking for new ways to utilize it.

I hope you like it, and that you’re having a good day!

  1. Very nice, especially all together! Watercolor with a palette knife? That’s interesting! I can see that technique more in the painting with the cliff and birds. Beautiful work 👏🏻

    1. Thank you so much! I’m very glad you like them 🙂 With the other two paintings the palette knife is used more or less to remove paint from the paper, to make an effect. I think it’s interesting finding new ways to use it 🙂

I would love it if you left me a few words
