Scraping out a Landscape

It takes its toll on the paper if I get too eager.

But using the palette knife to scrape out a landscape in a watercolour painting is great fun.

In this one, I used it both for adding trees, fence posts and tufts of grass.

The splatters of paint was initially an accident, though.

But when it happened, I just added some more to kind of “go with it”.

I don’t think that ended up looking very good.

But I’m very satisfied with the landscape.

I hope you’re doing alright, and that you’re having a good day!

  1. Love this…both the painting and the go with the flow attitude…. I do that myself..

After all happy accidents are a big part of art πŸ™‚

  2. I think it is beautiful! I have never thought of using palette knives for water painting … I am going to have to give that a try!

I would love it if you left me a few words
