A Cold Spring Day

Tomorrow it’s officially summer.

Here in Norway, though, we’ve had snow until late April.

Which has made spring quite short.

So it’s a weird feeling taking off my winter jacket, going almost straight to shorts and t-shirts.

Because it’s really warm here now.

So I thought I would say goodbye to spring with this painting of a cold, but green day.

And wish everyone a good summer!

This painting is part of a double session, where I also tried out some colours reminding me of fall.

It’s quite interesting seeing how much our colour choices affects the interpretation of a painting.

Which has made me realize the importance of planning my palette before I start painting.

That’s something I rarely do 🙂
